Why You Should Drink Water As Soon As You Wake Up.

I know this is like one of the HARDEST thing to do when you wake up… drinking water before anything else. But trust me, this is the best thing thing ever!

I used to carry a huge glass of water every time I’m going to bed and put it next to my bed stool for drinking when I wake – well, a habit that I thought was “cool” coz I used to see my favorite uncle doing the same. But with time, the so “cool” trend has changed.

I’ve become that guy who wakes up and all they want is food, juice, soda or a snack. I know this is not so farfetched with most peeps.

After doing a bit of research, I found out that drinking a glass or two of water is the first and best thing you should do when you wake. At least 500mL of water, AT LEAST.

Reason being, water fires up your metabolism, hydrates you, helps your body flush out toxins, gives your brain fuel, and may even make you eat less (For those who want to cut weight).

 

Let me just break down its benefit a bit.

Fuels your brain: Here’s a fun fact; your brain is 75% water. A morning glass of water will leave you feeling sharp and clear throughout the day, giving you an edge over all the dehydrated zombies you’ll encounter.

 

Flushes out toxins. While you sleep your body repairs itself, replenishes energy and balances hormones. In the morning, these toxins and other waste materials released at night are waiting to be flushed out.

 

It rehydrates your dehydrated body. You just went 7-8 hours without drinking any water! Even if your body isn’t telling you that it’s thirsty, it probably is.
Helps you lose weight. One study showed that people who drink a glass of water before every meal lost 4.5 pounds over a three-month period, because “it fills up the stomach with a substance that has zero calories”, and people “feel full as a result”.

 

Keeps you regular & relieves constipation. The main cause of constipation is dehydration. There’s no rocket science to this one.

 

Prevents and cures disease. Here’s the thing, in Japan it is believed that drinking water this way can cure even the harshest diseases over time. I am not a scientist, or a doctor, but what I do know is that doing this will certainly help cure disease and can certainly help prevent them, even if the effects are subtle.

For what makes you stronger… Makes you… Strongest. lol!

 

Its completely refreshing. Lastly, the reason you should partake in this routine after waking up is because of how good and refreshed it will make you feel. Jeez!

There really is nothing more refreshing than waking up, dry mouthed, and enjoying life’s purest substance.
